Northland Police were in the early stages of an investigation into an alleged incident at a Whanganui motel early on Sunday, last weekend.
Allegations are two members of the South Canterbury rugby team raped a young woman in their team motel.
Rather than empathising with the alleged victim the eloquent coach of the team, Chester Scott, told media "I'm not really in a good position to talk right now because I'm fucking gutted,"
"We've got a campaign [to run] and we don't need shit like this."
Sickening but typical.
