Former Crusaders wing Sean Maitland has been charged with
assault in Glasgow, relating to a late-night kebab shop brawl the weekend prior
which put a man in hospital.
Because his grandparents are Scottish Maitland is currently donning
their badge of convenience.
His club, the laughably named Glasgow Warriors, are purportedly
under-taking a disciplinary investigation which in rugby circles means staying
nothing till the public forgets about it and never pay heed to the victim, a
fellow professional rugby player.
Maitland joins a growing list of Crusaders (tip: search this blog
for a sample) who have fallen foul of the law.
