Gisborne Rugby Incident ‘fuelled by alcohol’ God Forbid, what next?
The most overused N.Z euphemism, in the context of the third-estates reporting of our national code, must be; incident.
If you have 10 minutes try counting them-up HERE.
Incident of course doesn't do justice to what happened in the car-park of Rugby Park, Gisborne.
Still, could we honestly expect the media to go 'full retard' on rugby in N.Z, given that virtually every page in the land currently features an article on the sport?
Hell no!
It's left to moi.

Boorish Drunken Behaviour from Crusaders & All Black player Richie Mo'unga in S.A
Boy oh boy, what a memorable
tour The Crusaders have had to The Republic of S.A.
Read, what the
local media terms as ‘Fresh Allegations’.
Inappropriate
touching is a euphemistic term for groping.
Spitting beer at
people?
Animalistic.
Surely, this
can’t be a player from the rugby franchise which considers itself to have a
sporting culture above even The Vatican’s Sunday Soccer team.
"I'm
really sorry for that I'm not aware that I did that. Obviously was intoxicated
and should've gone home long before that stage, I'm sorry to you and your
friends and want to assure you I don't condone that behaviour and am sorry
about that"
Now, is this the
reply of someone facing a false allegation, simple case of mistaken
identity?
N.Z Rugby players
and management have made understatements like this into an art form.
They have the
benefit of heaps of experience, I guess.
Should I mention that Richie Mo'unga is also an All Black?
Or, is that just taken as a given?
Here's a suggestion for the sport.
Why not instigate a Rugby Respect and Inclusion project?

Kurow Rugby Club must be the saddest, most dysfunctional club in New Zealand
Kurow is a small town in
North Otago that can barely throw together enough fit adult men to form a pool
team, let alone, let alone enough to field a single senior men’s rugby squad.
One thing they are not short of down the Hakataramea is the propensity to get ‘trolleyed’ after a game of rugger.
That’s what men-folk in country football teams do & have done for decades.
You would have thought the death of a club member in a car accident after one of these prescribed after-matches (2016) would have tempered this practice & brought some sanity to this small sporting club.
Made the local community as whole take-a-look at themselves.
Like fuck!
Here they are, at it again.

This blog features many rugby
clubs up & down the country.
All for the wrong reasons I must add.
Per head of population The Kurow
Rugby Club must be the saddest, most dysfunctional club in New
Zealand.
Richie McCaw should be embarrassed every-time someone uses the sobriquet 'The Kurow Kid'.

Another day another pissed-up All Black, no make that All Blacks
Just a few beers claims Jordie Barrett.
"I had a couple drinks in town with mates and basically
can recall everything that happened that night and I was not intoxicated".
Pull the other-one Jordie.
Not even the most staunch All Black fan believes you simply
walked into the wrong flat in the wee smalls because of a simple mix-up, unmitigated by your alcohol consumption.
You went out drinking into the early hours and only “had a
couple”?
Maccers is the AB breakfast of choice and any aspiring junior player should take note.
The Tui beer marketing company could have a field-day.
You and your mate were too-pissed to tell where you were, seems to fit the bill.
That is what anyone with half-a-brain-cell thinks is what
happened.
But wait there’s more, the night after in what are called hi-jinks by All
Blacks and Blues winger Rieko Loane.
Loane ends-up with a cut above his eye in an incident with an
unnamed team-mate at an after-match piss-up.
Ooops typo sorry, I meant ‘private function’ it could never
be a piss-up because these are top professional athletes with strict protocols.
I can't find any media report to indicate if Loane got Maccers on the way to or from hospital?
I can't find any media report to indicate if Loane got Maccers on the way to or from hospital?
They play in the most successful international sporting team on the planet we are told by N.Z Rugby's marketing department & N.Z media.
Which are locked at the hip.
Now picture the German World Cup Soccer Squad getting ready for camp and two of their players getting involved in similar incidences.
These two would be out of the Russian tournament before it started.
Disgraced by their actions, they would be dumped.
Contrastingly these two muppets will be playing test rugby
next weekend.

Southland Rugby Poster Boys for Respect & Responsibility
The
recommendations provide all of rugby a pathway to continue to ensure everyone
involved in the game has the right information and understanding with regards
to respect and responsibility to enable them to make the right decisions. This
includes ensuring that our attitudes towards women in rugby, diversity,
respect, responsibility and inclusiveness are in keeping with a world leading
sports organisation (N.Z Rugby ‘Respect & Responsibility Review 2016)
Ex Southland Stags
Assistant Managers & Southland Maori Rugby Coach JASON TE HUIA drunkenly
racially abuses an Asian Doorman at the Queenstown Casino.
Mostly “Shoe lace
eyes” don’t play rugby – they are fair game I guess.
Just up-the-road
ex Southland front-row forward DREW RIORDAN appears in Gore District Court
after scribing drunken intimidatory posts on Facebook against a female
journalist.
"I bet there's no bush telegraph the
night when she's lying dead on [sic] after being run over by a guy heading to
the station" is all part of N.Z Rugby’s wonderful inclusiveness.
Just remember
Kiwi readers: Rugby is part of our DNA.
Sad.

Just another New Zealand Rugby Rep getting pissed and doing stupid things.
No real story here.
May as well blog 'it rained in Fiordland over the weekend'.
Just another New Zealand Rugby Rep getting pissed and doing stupid things.
How pissed and idiotic was MacKenzie Haugh?
Well he almost drove his vehicle into a bus in N.Zs # 1
tourist resort whilst being four times over the limit.
Alarmed the public to such a degree, they stripped him of his
keys.
No respect for the Police or the public, but hey acting like
an arrogant jerk comes as a mandatory character trait in such circles.
In what should have been jail time, given the seriousness of
his actions and the small fact Haugh was caught only 12 months ago similarly drunk
behind the wheel, he get’s just supervision and community work.
MacKenzie Haugh is a name we will see again.
I’m sure he’ll remember the day he played in the same team
as Richie McCaw.

Now there’s a 4th Ex All Black in France facing trouble in the same year!
As I’ve said before, if all New Zealanders that visited
France acted in the same fashion as our prized AB’s then we’d all be banned!
We'd be put on the same list as ISIS.
So far in the same calendar year we've had cocaine possession, accusations of gang rape, slapping the
mrs around and now a good ol’ fashioned brawl.
More about Jason Eaton here.
Just how far through the French penal code book are these ex AB's?

Drunken Kiwi Rugby Fan Allegedly Abuses and Attacks Lions Tour Manager
I have encountered several groups of Lions supporters over
the past month.
Most affable and friendly.
When it comes to supporting their team they do so through cheery
ribald chants.
In countenance how do All Black supports express their own
support?
Arrogance mixed with boorishness.
Booing and jeering replaces chanting.
Insipid pre-match renditions of the national anthem.
All too often N.Z Rugby fans express their support in a
negative fashion.
This alleged abuse and assault on a John Spencer minding his
own business with his wife is little surprise.
That’s the way we do things here.
It's cringe-worthy, needs to change.
Learn off The Lions supporters how to act in a positive fashion.
Developing a few chants, learning the words to the anthems would be a start in the right direction.

Ex All Black Destroys Image of all Kiwis in France
Hmmm?
Where have I heard those terms before in relation to a N.Z
sportsman?
Give me a starter for 10.
Oh that’s right, now I remember!
And if one was to visit Byron Kelleher’s rugby themed pub in
Toulouse – what would I expect in terms of a customer experience?
Punch bags with dresses?
Roman Vomitorium?
Hopefully it will be 3rd time unlucky with the
French judiciary for Byron Kelleher.
His girlfriend won't need to 'fear his reprisals' knowing he's behind bars, facing deportation.
